5 Tips to purchase Online Music (mp3) and avoid scams

Usually, I don’t buy many CDs, I’d rather purchase old fashion Long Play Vynilics. If I have to be honest, I usually download music in the popular MP3 format. Please, don’t you think that I do it in the illegal way, I pay for the albums.
Amazon is a good place to purchase downloadable digital music, it’s safe, has a lot of music in store and the prices are reasonable. In the business of digital music downloads, safety and price go along very fine. They should.
If you’re like me, and love to download Mp3 files, always keep in mind the following tips:
- Trust, always, trust the very known sources, it’s best for your pocket.
- Never, ever give your Credit Card PIN (usually, that 4-digit number on the back of your card) to an unknown source; e.g. a site that appears to be not so trustable.
- If the site accepts it, then ALWAYS use Paypal or a similar system. The advantage of using your Paypal account is that it will be harder for the scammer to give your money away. At least, it will be far mor difficult than the chance to scam some bucks out of your credit card.
- In general, don’t buy music from sites previously reported as scams, frauds or plainly deceptive. It’s easy, most scams are reported in many blogs and websites. Just take a look before you send your personal information and credit card info.
- Better Business Bureau certification is a good sign of the good-will of the website. If you see the Better Business Bureau seal, and trust me, if the site has been certified, you will surely know that, then go on and buy at your own leisure. Of course, check in BBB site before you send any information. Just to be sure.
