Think Cash, Low Rates for Payday Loans

By admin

Welcome to WisePicker, a blog dedicated to the advice on personal finance issues and online purchases. If you want to follow our new articles, please feel free to subscribe to our RSS feed. Many thanks for your visit

Payday Loans are the kind of financial operation that can help someone to cover the need for cash in the middle of a payday period. They are also an usually expensive operation in terms of the financial costs associated.

The interest rates of Payday Loans tend to be high, but the popularity of Payday Loans is increasing due to the fact that they are processed faster than short term conventional loans.

There is another reason for the rising popularity of Payday Loans among the public, and it is related to the fact that they are ideal for the people with bad credit profiles; e.g., the persons with a history of unpaid or delayed payments of debts.

Because a Payday Loan is an operation that uses to be secured against the monthly payments, it is not so relevant to consider the credit history of the applicant. Of course, a common requisite to obtain a payday loan is to have a current periodical and stable source of income; e.g. a salary.

But, as stated in the first paragraph, Payday loans are usually expensive in terms of financial costs. Specially when compared to short term loans. Nevertheless, there is a way to obtain the best of both worlds: the fast, streamlined response of a Payday Loan that needs not a good credit profile on the back and the lower financial costs (interest rates) of Short Term Loans.

ThinkCash: Low Rates for Short Term Loans

ThinkCash is a specialized portal that offers Short Term Cash Loans as a massive product. In only a few seconds and through the use of a simple online form, the company approves - or denies, either case - the application of cash loans that can range between 250 and 2500 USD.

What makes the difference between ThinkCash and other similar portals is that even they are similar, short term loans are basically loans and have smaller costs associated.

ThinkCash provides installment loans at competitive rates and there is no need for a perfect credit profile. It does not mean that every application is approved regardless of how bad the credit history is. As every financial operation there is a range of risk score that can be allowed in order to get the operation approved.

One interesting feature is the low cost of commission that ThinkCash charges to the operation. If one considers that in the short term loans the commissions tend to increase the final cost of the operation, 1% daily is not so expensive, at least below the average of the market.

Another thing to consider is the chance to pay the whole debt at once, or make periodic payments. The site does not charge the customer with penalties, either way.

PayDay One

By admin

We have already talked about Payday Loans and the benefits that a common person can obtain from applying to one such financial instrument. As long as the person does not become an addict to such kind of loans, there is nothing wrong - all the opposite - to cover cash emergencies in the middle of a payday term.

PayDay One is a very well known company which allows for applying to State Licensed Cash Advances, as PayDay One is a company that is licensed to operate in all the states.

The company has some unique features that make it easy to decide on applying. First, it has a streamlined form to fill in and apply, and it is easily recognizable inside the site layout (top left side).

Second, it allows the use of a Promo Code or entering a Referral Code, which is something that I find really uncommon in such kind of services. Not to tell that it is fancy and mostly desirable, as it might be interesting to gain some referral fee by introducing a friend to PayDay One and lead it to obtain the loan. Please, the online money makers take note of this as a chance to win some extra bucks.

Third, and it seems that I finally find someone who implements it, PayDay one has a section of satisfied customers - real people like you and me - where it is possible to hear the experiences that others have passed and how they benefited from the use of the company site services to obtain a quick flow of cash in the time of emergency.

Fourth, PayDay One offers a guarantee of satisfactory loan rates, which is not something to ignore. Not at all, because - as everyone that has obtained or gotten quotes from Payday Loan services know very well - it is not so hard to obtain low rates in the case of PayDay Loans.

Computer Based Training: New Channels of Learning

By admin

In the previous post - 10 reasons to Invest in Education - we dealt with the basic reasons to invest in education, and one of the items stated that Education does not have to be expensive.

What I forgot to mention is that education does not have to be a very time consuming activity. The old times of classrooms, teachers, blackboards and chalk are getting dug in history.

An option to get quality education is on the Computer Based Training model. Under the model, it is fairly easy - and mostly inexpensive -to be trained in a visually rich format and - maybe the most important feature - at one’s own pace.

As an example, I am starting a new business, and though it might be easy to deal with 5-6 employees at the beginning, after a while I might deal with a team of 25 or more persons. And then the frictions begin and the challenge is to keep the team focused on the same objectives.

Question 1. Should I keep confident on my experience or should i increase my leadership skills by means of acquiring knowledge?

Question 2. Starting from the fact that the business growth consumes most of my daytime, what would work better: a conventional set of human-lectured courses or a Computer Based Training?

CBT: Provider of Computer Based Training

CBT is a company which is pioneering the field of computer based training. The offer (of knowledge) of the company is varying and challenging. I was very surprised to see some features.

Excel Training

For many people, Excel is a worksheet that provides a couple of functions and is fine to obtain reports. What most of the excel users ignore is the not-so-obvious power of Excel, that can be unleashed by means of proper learning.

PMP Training

Project Management Professional is in fact a certification. But it is not another certification, it is one of the most valuable ones in the industry, as it credits the owner as someone capable of leading a project to succeed. CBT features the most appealing computer based training available for the professionals interested in scoring high to obtain the PMP.

Education for Children

One thing to keep in mind is that Computer Based Training is not made exclusively for adults. Children - in fact - get the same or more benefits from Computer Based Training. Fortunately, CBT has a set of programs developed for children.

Conclusion

If time is your excuse to stop investing in education, forget it. With Computer Based Training it is up to you to choose the best hours to learn.

10 reasons to Invest in Education

By admin

Most of the people I know use to complain about how expensive it could be to pay for the tuitions - either of themselves or their kids - of the College or University. That is no news, at all.

In fact, many people and organizations tend to put education as an expenditure and if seen as an investment, the priority assigned to education is very low. The truth
is that education - specially among organizations, no matter the size - should
be approached as an investment for the present.

The following is a list of the reasons to place education in the investments side of the budget.

  1. Investment pursuits profit, education also does.

When someone invests on something, he/she expects some gains as a natural result. Education, although is not a full warranty policy, is essential to increase the way we produce. And the profits as a result of a well focused education are not reduced to the money earnings chapter.

  2. Education helps to Apply the Paradigm of Efficiency.

Which involves obtaining more of the use of fewer resources. Very simple? Not quite, yet. The better the education received, the easier to organize things and take advantages of the knowledge to obtain better results applying less effort. As stated in the first point, the concept is not limited to the money issue.

  3. Know More, Live Better.

Education raises the level of culture and it has a direct impact on the standards of living. In that way, someone who has received a bit more than enough formal education is more prone to live a life of excellence - staying away from alcohol, drugs, tobacco, overweight, stress, etc - and is also more probable that he/she will live longer and happier. Education is capable of raising the level of awareness by means of the knowledge.

  4. Human acquires Knowledge together with Habits.

Which are - by far - more important than the knowledge itself. Learning is not difficult, as our brains are aimed to get fresh knowledge, but humans do not learn by osmosis. It is a slow process, and it requires attitude, effort and organization. Altogether, the 3 factors lead the person to develop good habits, which - later in life - are translated into abilities to succeed.

  5. Knowledge is the worst enemy of the Fears and Prejudices.

And the latter two are responsible for the slow development of some - otherwise normal - persons. Fear prevents us from walking the next step to success, prejudice helps to blame the others for us not succeeding. Know more, fear-less.

  6. Education can Improve (drastically) our abilities to communicate.

Maybe, one of the most substantial personal improvements that one experiences with a higher level of education is the impact in the ability to communicate with others. Not only because of an improved use of the language skills, but also because the whole process of education prepares us to analyze the data (which can be in the form of verbal communication) better and faster to produce digested information and the knowledge helps to introduce creative ways and a smart perspective to the human interactions. In simple, plain English, you will be more prepared to face the challenges of leadership.

  7. Education Breaks Mental Barriers.

So much as some fears look absolutely ridiculous when placed against the light of reason, the barriers - another form of fear, basically - that behold us from achieving our goals can be broken, without mercy. Procrastination, for example. I was a victim of procrastination - as cynical as it might sound - due to some lack of basic information on what was it, why it affected my performance and how to stop.

  8. Knowledge adds Self-Respect and Self-Confidence to the Equation of Your Ego.

It is knowledge what helps us understand ourselves better and in that way, increase the perception of the inner image of ourselves. I do not want to sound overrated, but years ago I met someone who thought that her life was a nothing else but a whole long walk of misery and self compassion. After years of study, personal development, a brilliant career and a successful life, that girl uses to remember those sad days as her dark, rainy days in the realm of ignorance.

  9. Cost-Benefit of Investing in Education is Positive in all cases.

As you must know, the results of the investments are evaluated through a couple of metrics: ROI (Return of Investment) and Cost-Benefit ratio. In the case of the latter, education as an investment always returns a positive ratio; the only possible turndown is the difficulty to include all the benefits obtained (as a result of the investment in education) and subsequently, assign to them a value. In a future post, the topic will be explained further. I promise.

  10. Education does not have to be expensive.

There are lots of inexpensive and free resources on the Internet, they are there, waiting for anyone with a real thirst of knowledge.

As you may have noticed, the real investment behind education is measured on time units. It is time and not money what should be our main concern. As we are not immortals, we should invest wisely our resources - time being the most important - and education is one of the wisest choices available.

Horizon Cash Advance: Review

By admin

We have talked much about Cash Advance Loans before. Now we know that they are basically oriented to the consumer that needs money in between paydays. It has been stated - also - that they should be used on an emergency basis, and much care should be paid to avoid applying to them very frequently.

Horizon-Cash-Advance-Logo

This time it is the turn to review Horizon Cash Advance. Horizon Cash Advance is a site specialized in providing Payday Loans and my first impression when reviewing the website can be resumed in two words: Plain, Simple. Which is something that many customers may appreciate as the loan might well be two clicks away of the landing page on the website.

As you already noticed, the company focuses on Payday loans and the requirements for the applicant are very simple: at least 3 months at work, a minimum of 800 USD per month and a US Bank account.

Best Feature: Apply Process

The process to apply is also very simple and streamlined, basically there are two steps.

Step 1. Provide the Email of the Applicant.

In order to provide news and related information sent directly to the email of the user.

Horizon-Cash-Advance

Step 2. Fill in the form.

The applicant must provide some personal, laboral and financial information to Horizon Cash Advance services. In order to make the customer feel secure, the site states clearly that the privacy of the customer is protected at all times, even to the point of being deleted after its transmission to the loaners.

My Feedback

Well, to be honest with myself and the reader, the site still needs some improvements, without - again, without - ever losing its simplicity, which is the essence of what should lie behind a payday loans service. First, a Certification of the Better Business Bureau would help to increase the confidence of the potential customer at the first visit. Second, it might be helpful to publish some news - not many, just the best ones - related to the topic, for example, new regulations that apply to Payday Loans. Also, there is a general gap that can be covered; the sites of the niche usually do not publish success stories or statistics of customers served. If Horizon Cash Advance implements such sections of content, it will surely benefit of the increased useful traffic and authority.

Driving Expenses: Cut them

By admin

Driving is part of our everyday life and it is probably the third or fourth most time-consuming activity of modern life. Of course, it has some costs associated as it is to be expected.

Fuel, loans and maintenance are among the basics of the costs of the driving experience. At least, the most visible, but they are not unique. There are some other expenses that are not obvious to the naked eye, but in fact, can increase the costs in an almost invisible way.

First, there are some costs related to a low maintenance level of service, or no servicing at all. Sure, most of the people just care about driving and let the car take care of itself. Nothing can cost you more - at the end - than this nonsense decision. Although the popular belief - that the maintenance is useless and costly - there is nothing else that can help to keep the vehicle in a safe, clean state.

Second, there are come costs related to bad vicious tendencies of the drivers. Sure, there are things like the tickets to be paid due to excess of speed, driving without the safety belt and small stuff like that. Not to talk about the real world class infractions, such as driving in a state of alcoholemia (above the limit). By the way, you will need specialized consultancy from DWI Attorneys to get along without going to jail.

By the way, DWI is an acronym for Driving While Intoxicated, which is basically, driving under the influence of narcotics or alcohol. Substances that not only are very costly, worthless and useless, but that can cause in the consumer the effects of enervating the conscious process.

The Law Offices of MacConathy&MacConathy is a firm of Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers with a specialized portal. Their specialization - as you might expect - DWI and the many technical aspects around the topic. As a matter of fact, there are some amazing things that I learnt while browsing the attorney criminal dallas defense website. For instance, did you know that if someone is convicted (TX) of manslaughter on DWI, it might be not only fined (highly), but after being released, the DWI convicted will have to install a special device in his/her car. The device shall detect if there is alcohol in the breath of the driver and prevent the car from working. And, if the person is driving a car without the device, he/she will have to hurry up and get one, unless he/she wants to come back to jail.

Of course, there are some special situations where the traffic accidents are not the result of causality, and then is when the advice of a DWI specialized law firm - as the attorney criminal dallas lawyers featured in this post - becomes very useful. Nevertheless, the wise advice is “do not drive when you drink”. I guess that even MacConathy would agree with me.

Third, there are many small expenses associated with the simple activity of driving and they should be taken care after; e.g. in a small notebook, excel spreadsheet. There is a small chance that you are spending excessively in some items that do not provide added value to the car driving experience.

10 Steps to Recognize the Unsafe Paypal Emails

By admin

Paypal is a very safe online payment mechanism and it is very popular nowadays. It is one of the main channels of transaction processing and not only Ebayers use the services it provides, but a long list of persons and organizations

Though, the portal itself is very safe and it clearly states that "PayPal does not send emails asking for information", there are still some unaware users that tend to fall into scam cheap tricks from times to times.

The format of the scam email varies frequently, and there have been times when the most advanced inbox spam assassin has been futilely unable to prevent them from falling into the inbox. But, there are some basic points to be taken care of, which are enlisted as follows.

How to recognize a PayPal Scam in 2 Easy Steps or How do the PayPal Scams work?

As you may have noticed, the overstriken title of the section is scam-like, and I must admit - to my full pleasure - that I did it to illustrate the basics behind a PayPal scam message. Though many people believe that hackers and gurus are the guys behind the scams, the fact is that the scams are very simple in structure and require more of psychologic manipulation abilities than of computer expertise.

  1. The Good Old-School Scammer appeals to induce fear.

The scammer guy knows that when dealing with money in an online channel, you are scared to hell. Then, every and any message that depicts a menace to the user, may and probably WILL be followed after. No wonder if PayPal states so clear that they do not ask for ANYTHING AT ALL, via email.

  2. Opportunities of Grabbing Free Money,

Best Offers or Gifts. When fear does not work, then the inversed technique might. That involves -basically - throwing the bait and wait for the fish.

  3. Induce the user to believe that everybody is doing something.

And as the human nature implies that we want all that the others have, or do what the others do, then it is easy to be caught into such a nasty, dirty trick.

  4. Press the user to do it something NOW.

Most of the scam email messages - not only Paypalers’ - have words and phrases like the following.

    • URGENT
    • Please respond ASAP
    • You have 24 hours to take action

All PayPal Scams have 1 Thing in Common

Once, and old partner asked to me What he could do to recognize a Fake Paypal Email .

If it has even one single link and the message asks you to clic on it, then push the Delete Message button. End of the story.

And that is still true. The most sophisticated of scammers tend to use Javascript to mask the URLs. Even, there are some very smart scammers that use very similar (to Paypal dot com) domain names to commit their crimes. Nevertheless, the rule keeps intact: DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINKS.

10 Most Common Message Templates used to Send PayPal Scam Emails

If a comprehensive list should be made, it might take days to compile it. But, based on my own experience - as a victim of scams in the past - the following is a starting-point list to recognize the templates in a promptly manner.

  1. PayPal announces there has been a probable fraud using your account.

That uses to shock the user which hurries to follow the links that PayPal provides. What a big mistake.

  2. PayPal asks for an update of your personal and/or financial information.

Though it is a very old trick, it still catches some April’s fools. Sorry, I myself almost did fall into that.

  3. Paypal has canceled the account due to misuse.

Barely impossible, but PayPal users tend to be a bit over-tense about their account. After all, it is their money what we are talking about. It has shown to be very effective to trick them into giving the scammers full access by being induced into fear.

  4. PayPal offers a new product; e.g. Debit Card.

Yes, I have received such kind of message very often. It seems very much realistic and one is so close to follow them sheepishly, that I am pretty sure that this is one of the most successful techniques of scam ever.

  5. PayPal has detected that your account has been hacked.

(Oh, my God, PayPal server is so close to H.A.L.) A variant of the first technique, the user gets inducted to give his/her personal information very easily. Fortunately, most of the spam filters recognize these type of email and keeps them away. But, it does not hurt to know, just in case it jumps into your inbox.

  6. PayPal announces some seasonal offers so fantastic that you cannot miss them and must enter to confirm.

Though the trick is so awfully pathetic, it might work with the very newcomers to e-commerce and online purchase.

  7. PayPal Server has suffered a crash and you need to enter your information again.

Some of these messages even claim that if you had money in the account, you might come to lose it. Unless, of course you follow the links as a blind, innocent sheep would.

  8. PayPal is deleting the old inactive accounts, please confirm that yours is active.

Then again, some foes go straight down the slope to crash into the rocks. By the way, Paypal and many other services do not delete account - again, do not delete account - as much as they signal them as inactive.

  9. John Doe has sent you a gift, please sign in to confirm you are Wisepicker.

First, Paypal is not an online shop, so there is no gift ever bought at Paypal, but paid through PayPal. There are some smarter variations, that change the gift message to Mr. Whatever has paid for your service, please confirm. Be wise, and keep away.

  10. You must upgrade your PayPal account in the next 24 hours.

This was very common in the past. Basically, because it was believable that PayPal asked their users to upgrade the service. Fortunately, it has been discarded by the scammers. But, one never knows, be cautious.

I hope this post is helpful to the beginner and experienced online buyer. I have not told you, but It does summarize years of experience in the field of Online Purchases with Paypal. If you know of new techniques that those old dirty scammers are beginning to use, please let me know in the comment box.

Credit Card Information Supply

By admin

Your Credit Network is about Credit Card Information. Not just another portal to publicize credit cards and obtain money through click affiliation, it is much more than that.

ycn-logo

In fact, it became a link in my blogroll due to the content juice it provides. Just to start, it maintains a ranking based on the selections of the Credit Network users. And according to the ranking, it features some credit cards out of the mass.

Second, it organizes the credit cards within a very interesting list of categories.

  • Low Interest Credit Cards
  • Instant Approval Cards
  • Bad Credit Credit Cards
  • Rewards Credit Cards
  • Cash Back Credit Cards
  • Student Credit Cards
  • Business Credit Cards
  • Balance Transfer Cards
  • Hotel/Airline Credit Cards
  • Prepaid Credit Cards

Thanks to this categorization, it becomes particularly easy to find a well suited card for the specific needs of the visitor.

Third, it maintains a blog which might well be a reference in the industry - according to my humble opinion. The authors of the blog provide the reader with the latest news related to Credit Cards, basically fresh. It is also appealing to read the weekly post where they enlist the most popular credit cards (on each category).

Finally, and as expected, the portal provides the links to readily apply for a credit card. Once the visitor makes a well-informed decision.

Review of Faxless Fast Cash Advance Site

By admin

Easy Online PayDay Loan is a place ideal to get a faxless cash advance very quick. The people behind the portal concentrate in the security of the information that they get from the customer. Which, by the way, is very abundant, due to the extensive use of on-page widgets that track the behaviour of the visitor and allow the site to customize the offers accordingly.

easy-online-payday-loans-logo

It is fair to state that the site is relatively new (copyright disclaimed as of 2008) and is part of the current rise of the cash advances at a nationwide scale.

According to an article published on the site, last year saw a remarkable increment in the demand of payday loans, basically due to the awareness of the customers of the benefits derived from applying to these financial instruments. In the same article, it was stated that the authorities concerned about the protection of the customers established some regulations (which vary from state to state) and that are beyond the scope of this post and need to be treated in the near future.

What is real is that with or without regulations, the demand is seemingly growing fast and more and more portals will offer the services related to PayDay Loans. But, taking care of some basic aspects can avoid scams and potential loses of money. For example, security and terms of services.

If there is something attractive of the site layout is the small box that encloses the application form. Small, compact and concise, it helps to provide the basic data to the portal; data that is absolutely necessary to process the application.

Car Insurance Site Review

By admin

Car Insurance Rates is a member of a network of insurance service providers nationwide. They aim to provide the customers with the nexus to the appropriate insurance service for his or her lifestyle.

car-insurance-logo

If there is something that I - and very probably most of the potential customers - appreciate is the fast attention that the site offers. Just to tell, I asked - as a trial effort of my own - for an auto insurance quote using the form provided and got a very promptly response.

As a matter of fact, the time frame between submitting the data and receiving the email just elapsed to a couple of hours. And I did submit the form a short time from midnight. 8-)

What I would have to remark based on the experience on the site is that I am surprised of how fast the data was evaluated. And the form is maybe one of the longest I have ever filled in before.

The quote takes into account about 2 dozen of factors, like the characteristics of the automobile (brand, model, year), personal information of the applicant, previous traffic accidents, level of coverage, yearly amount of miles and some odd stuff as the type of garage.
