Productivity. It’s about producing more with less. And even less and less cost. That’s what it’s all about.
When in the office, there are hundreds an even thousands of tasks day after day, most of them are very repetitive. Though not always exactly replicating.
But, it’s easy to identify the basic principles of the improvement of productivity of the organization, from the very plain simple Small Office to the Corporate Wide One. The capacity to produce neat, reliable documents, schedule appointments, comunicate in a promply, unexpensive manner, tabulate business information are the most common needs of every office throughout the whole world.
Then, how to increase productivity. One way - the most commonly used - is through the automation of tasks. Let’s say computers, network and Offimatic Software.
Word processors, Worksheets, Email, Calendar, Presentations are very common, nowadays, and there might be practically no office throughout the whole world which does not know of at least a few products that suits the need.
Working my way through the Web, I found a very wise pick to increase office productivity. It’s called the G-solution: Google Apps.
Google Apps is a suite of products that contain a Word Processor, a Spreadsheet, a Powerpoint-like presentation system, Email and Calendar. All of them very highly tied-up, and all of this FOR FREE.
All you need is a your own domain, and a savvy guy that takes the challenge - of about 20 minutes - to setup the configuration required. Never wonder how easy it might be.
Did I tell you that Google Apps are free? And Google Apps have the whole platform of Google Inc. behind. So, you can just stop worrying about the quality of the service, the support level provided and the confidentiality and security of your most valuable asset: information.
Take a look, have your pick, you won’t be dissapointed.
